Overview

The Slack integration collects highlights from your workspace conversations. It captures messages, threaded replies, and reactions from the channels you select to weave into your daily diary narrative.

Use cases

  • Captures conversations and threads you participated in
  • Highlights important decisions and announcements from channels
  • Provides social and collaborative context for your diary

Data collected

  • Messages — text content, author, timestamp, channel name
  • Threads — replies in threads with reply count (only fetched when replies exist)
  • Reactions — emoji name and count on each message
  • Channels — name, topic, and member count of channels you belong to

Only messages from selected channels are collected. Both public and private channels are supported. User IDs are resolved to display names automatically.

Conversations

Someone dropped a link to a new ramen place in #random — half the team wants to go this Friday. Started a thread to coordinate.

Caught a fun debate in #watercooler about whether hot dogs are sandwiches. @Mika made a surprisingly convincing argument with a Venn diagram.

Shared some photos from last weekend's hiking trip in #photos. Got a bunch of reactions and @Yuki asked about the trail route.

Light day on Slack. The ramen plan is shaping up nicely — looking forward to Friday.
