Trakt

Track the movies and shows you watched, every day

Start for free

Overview

The Trakt integration connects via OAuth and collects your Trakt activity each day: watched movies and TV episodes, the ratings you gave, any reviews or shouts you wrote, and titles you added to your watchlist. This data is used to build a movies and TV section in your daily diary, giving you a record of what you watched.

Use cases

  • Automatically logs every movie and TV episode you checked in on Trakt
  • Groups episodes under each show so your diary reads naturally instead of repeating the same title
  • Picks up the ratings you gave so a 10/10 film can actually stand out in the write-up
  • Captures the reviews and shouts you wrote — your own words become direct quotes in the entry
  • Notes what you added to your watchlist — a record of interest, not just consumption

Data collected

  • Watched movies: title, release year, runtime, and watched timestamp
  • Watched episodes: grouped under each show, with season number, episode number, episode title, and watched timestamp per entry
  • Ratings (1–10) you gave to movies, shows, and individual episodes during the period
  • Reviews and shouts you wrote — the full text, whether it's a long-form review or short shout, and any spoiler flag
  • Watchlist additions — titles you bookmarked during the period, with any notes you attached

Only your watch history, ratings, written comments, and watchlist additions for the diary period are collected. Your follows, followers, and other social data are not accessed. Poster images are not fetched — Trakt does not expose them.

Movies & TV

1 movie, 4 episodes across 2 shows, 1 new rating, and 1 title added for later today.

Saturday night movie: Oppenheimer. Three hours flew by — gave it a 9/10 right after the credits rolled, and dropped a quick shout: "Nolan still knows how to land an epic."

Binge of the week: Breaking Bad season 4 — 3 episodes back to back. The walk-and-talk pacing still holds up.

One more: an episode of Stranger Things, chipping away at the backlog.

Added for later: Better Call Saul — figured if Breaking Bad still lands this hard, the spinoff is worth queuing.

One heavy film, one binge, one lighter episode, and a new bookmark for next weekend. A solid movie night.
